Risks, Limitations and Assumptions
- The application can handle critical and recovery failure notifications for the following cases when the user enables App Failure Notifications in the configuration:
- Connectivity Exception
- Authentication Exception
- The application will send duplicate or repeated failure alert notifications every 6 hours.
- Metrics can be used to monitor Viptela resources and generate alerts based on predefined threshold values.
- We have provided options to configure the Viptela Provider IP Address or Hostname and Port. However, note that the Hostname option will only work if host name resolution is functional.
- This application supports only Classic GW and NextGen Gateway. Cluster GW is not supported.
- Activity logs and applied times are not displayed in this application.
- Component-level thresholds can be configured for each resource.
- The latest snapshot metric support is available from Gateway version 14.0.0 onward.
