Risks, Limitations and Assumptions
- App can handle Critical/Recovery failure notifications for the following two cases when user enables App Failure Notifications in configuration
- Connectivity Exception
- Authentication Exception
- Application will send duplicate/repeat failure alert notifications for every 6 hours.
- Application cannot control monitoring pause/resume actions based on above alerts.
- Metrics can be used to monitor HPE MSA resources and can generate alerts based on the threshold values.
- The minimum supported version for the option to get Latest snapshot metric is nextgen-14.0.0.
- Full discovery support requires gateway version 15.0.0 or above.
- Application is not compatible with Cluster Gateway.
- OpsRamp sets 443 as the default port for processing HPE MSA REST APIs. Users can update this value anytime from the application configuration page if needed.
- Template Applied Time is displayed only when the collector profile (Classic or NextGen Gateway) is version 18.1.0 or above.
- All credential fields in the configuration are required to discover and monitor HPE MSA resources.
- Alert Polling is not supported for HPE MSA as we did not find below details for alerts api (GET /api/show/alerts).
- Time filters to fetch alerts in a specific time frame.
- Unique field to correlate unresolved alert with its resolved alert.
